I want to have lunch with this man, Joe Sayers. I don’t want to discuss his comic strip, I just want to have lunch and discuss whatever comes up. I wonder what might come to light, if I could imagine how he dreams such strange dreams.

YirMumMah!

Often quite funny, and often just wild ranting. I like this site ’cause the guy is uniquely, wonderfully himself. I don’t follow the entire world of webcomics, but he seems to have generated his own little tribe of followers, haters, and niche in the online community. Good for him. He’s being true to himself, which is all that matters.

If you read the archives, look for the one where Paris Hilton tries to get it on with a spitting cobra…and the cobra refuses.

Kevin and Kell

I resisted reading this comic for many years, mainly because I knew that to really follow what was going on, I’d have to start at the very beginning and read the many, many years of archives.

I was right – I did.

However, spending the (oh…eight) hours I did in Kevin and Kell’s world was quite enjoyable. I found myself disappointed when I was read up-to-date. Well, disappointed until I realized I could now just read them every day and keep updated that way. Takes less time, too.

Sluggy Freelance

Hmmm. Much too much to say about my friend, Sluggy Freelance. This has been my home page for about 7 years now. It’s the first comic I read in the morning (well, unless I’m on the computer at 11pm the night before when the latest comic appears).

A serial comic by nature, you may have a hard time picking up mid-story. Especially since the stories tend to build on each other. It’s Melrose Place in webcomics. But with friendly, human-eating aliens, wild female ninja assassins, the meanest bunny ever, and inflatable technology.

If you looking for an entry point, how about picking up with KITTEN, charming tale that picks up just after our gang has fled their apartment complex having accidentally erased Bun-Bun’s stash of Baywatch VHS tapes with an electro-magnetic pulse. He’s going to kill them. I told you he was the meanest bunny ever.

xkcd

Okay, okay…I admit that I sometimes don’t even get the math jokes here. But I don’t care ’cause it’s got comic strip hilarious goodness.

There are many wonderful archives at this site, but I bookmarked this one because every time I read it, I laugh out loud. Gotta love old-fashioned paranoia combined with Google.

Saturday Morning Breakfast Cereal

It’s hard to imagine how this webcomic artist manages to be both upbeat and incredibly dark at the same time. Hit the ‘RANDOM!’ button and enjoy tripping through some wonderful and frightening archives.

I hope you find this as disturbing as I do.

Partially Clips

Finally, a comic strip I could draw, considering it just makes use of existing clip art replicated for three panels. To appreciate the beauty of the word play and clever storytelling, you’ll really have to browse through some of the archives.

Beaver and Steve

As I’m posting this link, Beaver and Steve are running from a pack of zombie dinosaurs. While racing back to their time machine, Steve says, “This is a highly disagreeable situation.” Gotta love British humor.

Joe and Monkey

Dude! Totally awesome! It’s like the most awesomest! Hey, I can’t help but love this adorable comic. If for no other reason than the monkey is a good instructor in patience with insane ego.
