San Francisco Bound

It’s officially official.

Today I got papers from my employer offering me a temporary position in our Berkeley, California office. So it looks like I’m moving to California for 4 months.

I suppose this news may seem sudden, but really it’s not.

I have been discussing this possibility with my employer since the last week in May, trying to work out the details of how this situation might work out profitably for the company without me losing money by moving away for four months. It has taken more time and planning than I would have anticipated, but we got there.

I figured that as long as my house is for sale - and I’m living like a ghost in my own home - that I may want to try living out of the house for a few months. The key motivation is living somewhere I can not pick up my dirty clothes every morning before heading off to work.

So I get to explore a new city for four months! How wonderful is that?
