Pomegranate Martinis
Oh, I’m definitely grateful for those.
I had dinner with two friends tonight. Trax cooked an incredible Thai beef roast over rice, with delicious appetizers and a delicious pound cake with whipped cream and a raspberry drizzle. Mike (the other guest) and myself were surprised he had made a desert - an almond-sprinkled, lemon torte with corn stuff.
I am grateful for a friend who thoughtfully prepared a delicious dinner for me.
I’m grateful for Mike, and Trax, and our laughter, and our silliness.
I’m touched that Trax made dessert, even though he wouldn’t make anything like that for himself. It’s not hard to make and share food that you love…there’s something special about the fact that he made something he wouldn’t normally make because he thought we might like it.
